Q: Tell us about what you do here at Odaseva.

A: At Odaseva, I work as a Lead Quality Test Engineer embedded within the R&D team. My main responsibility is to make sure that what we ship is reliable, robust, and ready for our customers.

On a day-to-day basis, this means designing and executing test strategies, writing and maintaining automated test suites, and collaborating closely with developers to catch defects as early as possible in the development cycle. I also act as a quality advocate within the team, making sure testing is not an afterthought but a core part of how we build features.

Beyond the technical side, one of my key objectives is to continuously improve our testing processes: reducing manual effort through automation, increasing test coverage, and helping the team ship with confidence.

Q: What’s the team that you work with like?

A: The R&D team at Odaseva is a collaborative and welcoming group, made up of passionate people who genuinely care about what they build and how they build it. The atmosphere is open and supportive, everyone feels comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, or raising concerns.

From a quality perspective, I really appreciate how much developers and QE work together rather than in silos. Quality is treated as a shared responsibility, and that mindset makes a real difference.

We follow Scrum practices that give a good rhythm to the work: daily standups to sync on progress and blockers, sprint planning to align on priorities, retrospectives to continuously improve, and demo sessions where we showcase what we've shipped.

‍Q: Why did you join Odaseva? 

A: I joined Odaseva because several things aligned at the right time.

First, the product itself caught my attention. Working on a platform that helps companies protect and govern their Salesforce data is meaningful work. Data is critical for businesses, and being part of a team that takes that responsibility seriously was something I found genuinely compelling.

Second, the technical challenges on the quality side were a real draw. Testing a complex, cloud-based platform like Odaseva requires a thoughtful approach, and I saw it as an opportunity to grow and sharpen my skills in a demanding environment.

Finally, it was also a strong career move. Odaseva gave me the opportunity to take on more responsibility, grow as a Lead, and have a real impact on how quality is built into the product.

Q: What do you like about working at Odaseva?

A: What I enjoy most about working at Odaseva is the variety. No two days are the same. I get to juggle many different subjects and challenges, from test strategy to automation to cross-team collaboration, and that constant context-switching keeps me sharp and engaged.

I also really appreciate the international dimension of the company. Working with people from different backgrounds and cultures adds a lot of richness to the day-to-day, and it pushes you to communicate clearly and work effectively across different perspectives.

Finally, the collaborative culture makes a big difference. There is a real openness to sharing knowledge and tackling problems together, which makes the work both more enjoyable and more impactful.

Q: How did you come to join the Salesforce ecosystem?

A: Joining the Salesforce ecosystem was actually a first for me. My background was in the medical domain, which is a very different world, but one that also demands a high level of rigor and attention to quality.

The opportunity to join Odaseva opened the door to this new ecosystem, and I embraced it. What struck me quickly was how rich and powerful the Salesforce platform is, especially when it comes to managing and protecting enterprise data at scale.

The onboarding experience at Odaseva really helped. The support and training I received made the transition smooth and gave me the foundation I needed to get up to speed quickly. And honestly, discovering Salesforce through the lens of data protection made it even more interesting, because you immediately understand why the platform matters so much to our customers.

Q: What’s your proudest work-related accomplishment or project?

A: Two things come to mind.

First, building out our test automation. When I joined, a lot of testing was still manual. I worked on automating key test suites, which saved the team a significant amount of time and made our releases more reliable.

Second, managing the impact of Salesforce platform changes. Because our product depends on Salesforce, their updates can sometimes break things on our end. I'm proud of how we've been able to quickly identify the impact, adapt our tests, and still deliver quality releases on time, even under pressure. It's the kind of challenge that really tests your ability to stay calm and organized.

Q: What else can you tell us about yourself?

A: Outside of work, travel is a big part of who I am. I love exploring new places, discovering local cultures, and meeting people along the way. It's something that genuinely recharges me and keeps my perspective fresh.

On a professional level, I'm ambitious and always looking to keep learning. Whether it's a new testing tool, a different approach, or simply a better way of doing things, that drive to improve is something that stays with me constantly.
