From Blocks & Files: There is an API bottleneck issue in the SaaS application backup area, according to company that provides data protection for Salesforce users. As with backing up in-cloud applications and data, where users need to go above and beyond the cloud service providers’ basic provision, SaaS application users need to protect their data too. They can do it themselves by developing software to make API calls to the SaaS app to make copies of their data. But there are a set of problems with backing up SaaS applications due to limitations on the various types of API calls. Francois Lopitaux, chief product officer of Odaseva, tells us about them.
